I hate how some people even consider it weird and suspicious for an adult to prefer the company of children. I came across this comment and it just infuriated me. This part really stood out “I have 2 of my own now and told them the other day that if an adult wants to hang out with you all the time, they aren’t a good person.” So if an adult prefers to hang out with kids all day that makes them a bad person?
This quote is even worse ” I told them that we hang out with them because they are our family, our responsibility, and we love them, not because they are particularly fun to be around.” So it’s only acceptable for adults to want to be around children if they are family or it’s their responsibility. It’s bad to genuinely enjoy who they are as a person. And to think that she told her kids that she doesn’t particularly enjoy being around them, she just does it because they are her children. What a terrible thing to say to someone especially your own child. Now the kids know their mom doesn’t particularly enjoy being around them. Do they know that their mom instead views them as some cookie-cutter cardboard cutout of a caricature of what children are like.
